N-Series is a fully digital, true diversity, wideband system that features the renowned DPA-quality sound.
The pristine sound picked up from DPA microphones deserves to reach the next stage of processing in the sound chain safely and unaltered. The N-Series Digital Wireless Systems ensures that the clear, true sound moves up the chain effortlessly, without any unwanted flavor added to the original sound.
N-Series Digital Wireless System will be available in Europe in Spring 2025 and the US in late Summer 2025.
DPA is, as always, striving for the most natural sound. This has been our primary objective for our microphones for a quarter of a century, and now we are taking the same principles into the realm of wireless systems.
In addition, we work diligently to make the audio engineer’s challenging job as problem-free as possible. The N-Series firmware, software and physical components are all designed with the audio engineer’s needs in mind.
The system is based on a true diversity set-up, also known as radio diversity, where the two antennas are internally hooked up to two radio circuitries. Each antenna input has its own radio. This differs from systems that offer antenna-diversity where there is only one built-in radio which must shift between the two antennas.
DPA is offering a solution that spans from 470 MHz to 870 MHz – a 400 MHz span – which is quite unusual for wireless systems. This makes the N-Series extremely flexible, allowing users to quickly find space for channels in even the most densely RF populated areas. It also protects your investment against frequency shuffles made by governmental bodies from time to time.
N-Series is fully digital – born digital – not developed analog and modified to digital. This means that the signal is treated with the highest possible integrity throughout the wireless transmission.
Unlike many manufacturers that use incomplete ways of measuring, DPA’s true dynamic range is made in one measurement without applying level changes or using a limiter. N-Series offers a true 126 dB of dynamic range, which is leading in the industry.
With this extreme dynamic range there is no need to dial in a gain or amplification on the transmitter. Therefore, there is no need to set the gain (amplification) on the transmitter and as the system is digital, optimum RF signal is obtained without having to secure max modulation. The original signal is preserved throughout the system.
The system ensures DPA’s true sound quality by incorporating premium microphone preamps and state-of-the-art analog-to-digital conversion technology.
It’s quick and easy to get started with the N-Series by setting up channels directly on the receiver. Common, often-used adjustments are easily accessible on the receiver.
In addition, an integrated software solution, DPA Audio Controller allows quick access to all settings via PC or Mac.
DPA always stays true to its promise of staying as close to the original sound as possible. Beyond securing a safe Radio Frequency Link (RF Link) without dropouts, we preserve the signal as close to the source material as possible.
So, in short: It sounds fantastic!
