GOOSENECK MICROPHONES

Enabling outstanding sound in acoustically-challenging spaces can be very tricky. Choosing the proper microphones makes everything easier. The right mics can minimize potential problems before they pop up and guarantee customer satisfaction after project close. Whatever the setting, DPA supercardioid gooseneck mics combine controlled directionality with excellent rejection of background noise into an elegant mic solution for even the most difficult space.

Maximum speech intelligibility

A gooseneck microphone is a microphone element mounted onto a flexible gooseneck stand rather than on a cable. These mics have a flexible shaft that can be adjusted, allowing the microphone to be positioned in the best possible location for sound. Sometimes the mic is placed on a fully adjustable gooseneck, at other times only the top and bottom are adjustable.

CORE by DPA technology has been added to the 4098 microphone – tabletop, floor and ceiling solutions – lifting sound quality even more, just like all of the other products using CORE technology. The dynamic range has now been increased by 8 dB, so that the 1% THD is lifted significantly to 133 dB.

Gooseneck mics are popular for use on podiums, table stands and floor stands, and sometimes the ceiling. Goosenecks come in a wide variety of lengths and they can be adjusted by the speaker quickly and easily. Often these types of mics are permanent solutions that are integrated into a podium or table but moveable options are also available.

The 4097 CORE Supercardioid Choir Mic is an unobtrusive, versatile and great sounding choir mic for use in houses of worship as well as for live broadcast shows with choir or ensemble vocal performances.

One of the main reasons for choosing a gooseneck microphone is to get very close to the sound source, which is the ideal placement for a mic. This close placement ensures that you get a high ratio of wanted sound versus unwanted sound from, for example, reflections from a poorly acoustical damped room.
