Chris JoJo, Senior Sound Designer at Codemasters EA, recorded the powerful sounds of an RS200 Group B rally car for EA racing games. Using DPA microphones, he captured the raw energy of the car from multiple positions including the exhaust, engine, wastegate, gearbox, and cabin - to bring players an authentic audio experience.
The video shows the 2017 Shotgun Mic in action on a mile-straight circuit, delivering incredible high-SPL performance for pass-by recordings. Other DPA microphones, including the 4011 Cardioid and 4062 Omnidirectional, were strategically placed to ensure every rev, shift and roar was captured with precision.
