I have traveled through the deep jungles and bushes of Africa to the tropical rain forests of South America and the deserts of the Middle East. Now I find myself in the concrete jungles of Europe, but no matter where I am, I manage to keep my skills and techniques consistent by using only the best DPA has to offer.

Favorite DPA Microphones

This is a tough question but thinking about it, I’d have to say the DPA 4060 & 6060 just for the simple fact that I rely on them so often to get my clients amazing sound. Working in today’s modern work flows on set, sometimes you simply don't have room to get the much needed boom in on the shot. There are times when lavs are all we can use. Also, the time and pace is just too unforgiving towards the sound department at times.

This is where the 4060 & 6060 come into their own. Honestly, they don't sound good, they sound great!! They have saved my ass more then once.

That said, I enjoy the combination of using the 4017B and 4060 and the 6060 together. The sonic consistency is simply unmatched.
